How It Works: Apothecary Meets Nano Technology

At the core of Itchy Witchy is nano-encapsulation.

Skin-beneficial essential oils are sealed inside microscopic capsules, thousands of times smaller than a grain of sand. These nano-sized smart beads are made from a bio-reactive polymer and embedded directly into the fibers of the blanket during finishing. This means they are part of the textile, not just sprayed onto the surface.

Everyday motion, gentle friction, and your dog’s natural body warmth trigger the capsules to open gradually.

Controlled, Targeted Release

As the capsules open, small amounts of essential oils are released directly onto skin and fur over time, offering ongoing exposure instead of a single burst.

Because the polymer is bio-reactive, release occurs onto skin and coat, not surrounding fabrics. That means no staining of furniture, bedding, or car seats.
